On Saint Patrick’s Day I had the opportunity to visit the South Street Seaport. Seaport is a historic area in lower Manhattan that is located from Fulton Street down to the East River, and it right near the Financial District. I am not one to vomit about how much I love something in Manhattan, because, let’s be honest, we all know I’m not the biggest fan of the city, but Seaport was absolutely amazing. From the second we sat down at the riverside outdoor dining and my margarita hit my lips, I was completely sold. All of the restaurants have outdoor dining, great food and a view of the East River. You also have access to the Seaport boardwalk, some great shopping and a fantastic view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
Another fabulous part of Seaport is that it had one of my favorite pubs – Heartland Brewery. There is a Heartland in just about every major section of Manhattan (including one right down the street from my office in the Fashion District) and I love the different brews that they make.
If you haven’t had a chance to experience Seaport and if you have never stopped in for a beer at Heartland, I suggest you take a trip soon.
