Happy Friday! Let’s get this started…
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE Arrested Development. Not only that, but my favorite character (basically of all time) is Buster Bluth. I came across the Buzzfeed 37 Signs You Might Be Buster Bluth and thought I was going to die laughing while reminiscing on all of the amazing Buster moments from the first three seasons.
I recently made a purchase on faux leather leggings, and may I say that I LOVE them. Not only are the comfortable, but they look pretty sleek and classy. I recommend making the purchase. Here are a few links of where you can buy a nice pair:
MUSIC: Birdy “Skinny Love”
“Skinny Love” is a song originally by BON IVER (for the original version, click here), but Birdy, a singer born in 1996 from Lymington, Hampshire, UK does a piano version of the song that I really enjoy listening to. This song has been out for a while, and I will say that I’ve been listening to it for about a year, but it never gets old.
After watching Celeste and Jesse Forever (check out my review of the movie here), I cannot help but now love Rashida Jones. I never appreciated her because she came from parents already in the industry. But, now that I know that she wrote this movie, and after seeing her act the way she did, I can’t help but respect the hell out of her. Her role as Celeste has even brought me to respect her other roles; Anne Perkins in Parks and Recreation, Paul Rudd’s fiancee in I Love You, Man, her role as Jim’s ex-girlfriend in The Office, Paul Rudd’s lesbian sister in Our Idiot Brother, etc. I am now looking to rent all of the movies she’s in (minus the ones I’ve already seen) and go in with a different perspective.
RECIPE: Terah’s “Spicy” Chicken Legs
I will admit, I do not like spicy foods, but I LOVE chicken wings. After years of trying to figure out the right amount of “spiciness” to add to homemade chicken wings, I have concocted the perfect recipe (I’m obviously biased to my own cooking abilities). I call these “Terah’s ‘Spicy’ Chicken Legs”.
- 4 chicken legs
- 1/8 cup red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp. black pepper
- 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp. Hot Sauce
- 2 tbsp. Chipolte Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. Chunky Blue Cheese for dipping
Boil a pot of water and add the red pepper flakes and black pepper. Once the water turns a reddish tint, I add the chicken legs and boil for 5 to 8 minutes.
Then pull out the chicken and dump the water, but take the pot and put it back on the burner.
In a tupperware container, mix the oil, hot sauce and chipolte mayo. Add the chicken and shake the container until the chicken is covered in the sauce. From there, dump everything in the container into the pot that has been sitting on the burner.
On high, let the chicken cook for 3 minutes. Then turn the burner on medium (on a scale of 1-10, around a 4), put the lid on the pot, and let cook for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, flip the chicken, and cover the pot again.
The chicken should be cooked after 5 minutes, but I would check to make sure they legs are cooked through entirely.
I then garnish with a small ramekin of blue cheese (I recommend Ken’s Steak House Chunky Blue Cheese, but everyone has their preference). Enjoy!
